Meeting was brought to order by Secretary/Treasurer Leigh Casey at 1:30 PM.

A quorum of the required thirteen groups to be represented was not
present.
The March 18, 1999 meeting minutes were approved as submitted.
There was no old business.
Committee Reports
- Plan Review: Jim Hyland reported that 368 Tier II reports have been
processed. EHS facility data sheets have been updated. Lucas County had eighteen
first time filers, nine of which were EHS facilities. Three facilites were dropped
due to cessation of operations. Five facilites have failed to report.
Approximately 45 people are attending the EHS workshops held at the University
of Toledo.
SERC has reveiwed and concurred with the 1998 Plan revision. The Plan Review
Committee will revise the plan based upon the SERC critique prior to the
October 17, 1999 submittal date. The 1998 plan is available on disk.
New guidance documents recommend that the County Hazardous Materials Plan
be contained in the County EMA Emergency Plan. The plans will not be merged
in Lucas County.
- Finance: No report.
- Grants: No report.
- Compliance: No report.
- Training: Mike Gerber reported that the Whitehouse Fire Department
has completed their training. Over 100 City of Toledo employees have received
awareness training. HazMat Awareness training for Law Enforcement is scheduled
for July 27, 1999 at CJ Tech.
- Exercise: Phil Wesley reported that there will be a
chemical warfare table top exercise held at the Reynolds Road Ramada Inn on
September 24, 1999. Contact Phil Wesley if you wish to participate. A full
scale exercise is scheduled for March, 2000 and a biological warfare exercise
is scheduled for April, 2000.
The TMAA will hold a functional spill exercise on June 15, 1999.
- RMP: The RMP roll-out is under way this week. Events
include a dinner for elected officials and booths at the Franklin Park Mall
and OregonFest. RMP informational brochures will be distributed at the events.
New Business
- Jim Hyland gave notice that he will be resigning as Information Coordinator
at the end of the year.
- John Gulch discussed the Energy Efficiency/Pollution Prevention Conference
which will be held on August 12, 1999 from 9:00 am. until 2:00 pm. at Owens Community
College. The Conference is free, including lunch. The Conference will feature
presentations and environmental vendor exhibition booths.
- The next LCLEPC meeting will be held Thursday, September 16, 1999 at 1:30 PM.
at the Lucas County EMA building.
